This week, I announced on Instagram Stories that I wouldn’t be creating new content for the month of December, like I had planned to.
The truth is, I’ve been needing quiet time – to reflect, to process, to be for a little while. But more importantly, to heal.
I’ve been doing deep work to bring up past traumas that I need to heal and it’s been an incredible journey. Don’t get me wrong, this work is hard. The tears and the hyperventilating and borderline panic attack have come with this process.
But what’s amazing is that I’m able to sit with the pain now rather than running way from it. Okay, granted that I have avoided it by keeping myself busy and avoiding the discomfort, BUT when it came down to it, when I felt ready (which was this week), it felt empowering, freeing and HEALING.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. Healing doesn’t happen in one moment. It takes time, effort and energy.
And even though it has taken me a few months to get to this point, I can see how this journey, how the last few months were needed for me to get to this week, where I had the energy, courage and insight to look within and face past traumas so that I can heal them.
Remember to invest the time, energy and space into yourself, your personal development and even more important, your DREAMS! When you create the space for yourself to just BE, amazing things can happen. You will heal. You will grow. And you will ultimately have the resources and insight to create your dream life.
