In these series, I share a quick dose of wisdom in the hopes of inspiring and motivating you in your journey to achieving your goals and creating a life that you love. Do you find yourself feeling a bit lost? Wondering “What happens next?”
You’re not alone.
For years, I had a vision for my life. And then it was all taken away. It’s hard to let go. It’s hard to let go of “what ifs” and the “what could have been” and the “why did this happen?”. It’s hard to move on. It’s hard to let go.
So what was I left with?
I was left with only me (not to say that I was alone, I have incredible parents and an amazing support system, which I know many don’t have) but ultimately, I did feel alone. In the experiences. In the break-up. And in rebuilding a life, alone.
You see, I’ve always envisioned my life with my husband. Having a partner. Building a life. Creating a home. Going through experiences together.
And being left with none of that…was hard. And it still is.
But I choose to find peace.
I choose to find comfort that I am strong, resilient, and that I went through the hardest experience of my life, coming out of it stronger than ever. I know who I am. I know what I want. And I know what I can do to achieve it.
But ultimately, I am finding peace in knowing that at the end of the day, I have myself to rely on, I know that I can get through anything, and that I choose to live fully, and I choose my dreams.
And I hope that you will do the same. I hope that through my experiences that I share with you, that you will find the courage and hope and inspiration to create and live your dream life, whatever that looks like.
Always remember that it can be easy to get lost in the challenges and the negative thought patterns. But never…ever underestimate the power of a small step. Every effort counts.
