Do you want to have more energy, to feel inspired, and to feel happier and more balanced? Here are 4 simple tips for healthy and intentional living.
What if I told you that you could feel happy? That you feel full of energy, and feel empowered and inspired to get sh*t done during the day, without feeling drained by the time you get to bed in the evening?
That’s been something I’ve been working towards cultivating in life : a healthier and more intentional life, where I’m mindful of how I spend my time and energy, and how I take care of my mind and my body.
With our crazy lives and the challenges that it inevitably always throws our way, I think it’s important, more than ever, to make sure that we are always taking care of ourselves, from the inside outside.
I wanted to share a quick overview of some habits that I’ve cultivated, on a daily basis, to help me create a healthy and intentional life.

These are the things that I do that give me emotional and physical energy. The things that I do regularly to make sure that I feel my best. And the things that I try to do mindfully, with the intention of taking care of myself.
Because self-care is about the small, day-to-day and intentional habits that we practice.

HEALTHY TIP # 1 | Have a morning routine
Starting your day with an inspiring, energizing and entering morning is a powerful way to ease yourself into the day. It’s also a great way to take that mindfulness into the rest of your day.
I’m not talking about a complicated routine that takes an hour – I’m talking about a short but intentional practice, doing the things that make you feel centred and allows you to connect to your heart and your body.
This is a much better way to start your day rather than rushing out of bed and into your day, without taking a moment to breathe and be with yourself.
HEALTHY TIP # 2 | Practice mindful eating
This is one the foundations of my physical healthy : listening to my heart and my body, and giving it what it wants.
When it comes to food, I struggled with over-eating and obsessing over every last calorie I was ingesting. Until I decided I wanted to control food, instead of food controlling me.

Through mindful eating, I’m able to not only live a more intentional life, where everything that I put into my body has a “purpose” (whether it’s to fuel my body or feed my soul), but I’m also able to live a healthy lifestyle where I don’t feel deprived, but I’m eating the nutrients that my body needs to feel strong, to be healthy, and to feel my best.
HEALTHY TIP # 3 | Move your body
An obvious one when it comes to healthy living, so I won’t get into the specifics of how often etc.
However, what I want you to think about is how you can move your body in a more intentional way – what are the small changes you can make in your lifestyle, to move your body more frequently?
Can you take the stairs? Can you walk to the grocery store? Can you set a reminder on your phone and get up and walk in your home every hour?

Moving your body is not only important for your physical health, but also for your mental health, because it allows the blood to oxygenate your mind and your body.
HEALTHY TIP # 4 | Prioritize your mental health
This has also been a game-changer for me, because we don’t realize how much physical energy we waste on stressing out and our “uncomfortable” emotions.
When I choose to put my mental health first, I feel so much better.
And I mean taking frequent (but intentional) mental breaks. Taking deep breaths. Allowing myself to process emotions as they come up. Taking a step back from a situation when it’s becoming too charged.
You have to start looking at your health as a whole – your mind, body and soul are linked, and if you take care of one, it will help in the other areas. So if you prioritize your mental health, you will have more physical energy as well.
