Wondering why you’re not achieving your goals? Because you need to be setting INSPIRED goals. Find out the reasons why you need to set meaningful and inspired goals so that you can create a life of love and purpose.
After doing goal-setting for years and learning from every possible source the knowledge that I needed to set and achieve goals, I found that there was a gap.
There was something missing and I soon realized that it was actually a crucial component of setting and achieving goals that was missing in all the programs and books and workshop that I was finding.
No one talked about INSPIRED goals. There wasn’t enough emphasis on setting meaningful goals, and creating a life of love and purpose.
Why is setting inspired goals important?
Because setting goals is great and all, but at the end of the day, I think the purpose of life is to become a better person. Whether you do that through your habits, your contribution to your community, your career or by raising children, the ultimate purpose, the ultimate goal for a human being is to become a better version ourselves, every day.
Which means that our goals, our aspirations and our daily efforts should be geared towards something more meaningful and more impactful, on our own lives and on the lives of those around us.
Which led me to think about setting goals but in a more meaningful and more inspiring way. By touching on the spiritual and emotional dimension of goals rather than only focusing on the “doing”, on the “things I want”.
Because even though those are okay to have as goals (because I include “things goals” too!), I think it’s about the underlying reason that we need to uncover to better understand ourselves, our motivations, our purpose… and how to reach that purpose and how to live it on a daily basis.
What are inspired goals
Inspired goals are therefore goals that will resonate at a deeper level, with your heart and your soul.
Which is why I strongly believe that setting and achieving goals is actually truly a personal development journey because it’s not about the goal itself but about the person you are becoming in the process.
[bctt tweet=”FACT: Goal-slaying is a personal development journey” username=”seppyforlove”]
It’s about who you need to become and who you want to be and who you truly are, to be able to achieve that goal.
Inspired goals therefore align your values with your purpose, which then guide your thoughts, actions and behaviours.

It’s about who YOU are, and how that translates into your life, your choices and what you do on a daily basis. It becomes more than the goal itself but about the habits that you cultivate on a daily basis and the efforts that you put towards becoming an emotionally stronger person so that you can have the energy and inner resources to achieve those inspired goals.

Inspired goals vs. “Traditional” goals
I don’t want to minimize “traditional” goal-setting because there is a lot of value to that and ultimately, they’re all great.
But I always found that there was something missing in “traditional” goals (think S.M.A.R.T. goals).
Traditional goals don’t talk enough about the habits and the personal development journey you need to go on to really achieve those goals. It doesn’t talk about how to overcome limiting beliefs that will hold you back from slaying your goals if you don’t address them. Traditional goal-setting doesn’t address things like your habits, your mindset, how important your inner dialogue can be.
Traditional goal-setting is missing a key compontent, which is about shaping and becoming the person you want to be so that you can achieve those goals.
For example, if one of your goals is to make more money, it’s not only about the strategies to make more money, but you will have to also work on your money mindset and uncovering and overcoming those limiting beliefs that will ultimately hold you back from allowing yourself to welcome financial abundance.
See, achieving your goals requires you to do the inner work so that you can see the outer reflection of its results. You need to work on yourself while also working on your goals so that you can be the person that is able to welcome those goals into their world without the emotional baggage that will hold you back, consciously or subconsciously.
The power of inspired goals
And this is where lies the power of inspired goals.
When you tap into the emotional and underlying WHY – when you start to truly understand who you are, who you want to be, where you are in your life right now and where you want to be, you will a deeper understanding of what inspired goals you should be setting.
Because when you truly understand what your values are and what your purpose is in life, then it becomes so much easier to figure out what your goals are and more importantly, how you can achieve them.
[bctt tweet=”You need to BE more to do more” username=”seppyforlove”]
In other words, when you truly realize who you want to be as a person and what you want your life to look, the “doing” part, the part where you have to figure out the steps that you need to take become a lot more logical and intuitive.
When you truly grasp who you want to be and the life that you want to live and the impact you want to have, then the doing becomes a natural extension of that realization.
Setting inspired goals has a lot of power because mapping out a goal-slaying strategy will be a lot more natural and intuitive.
When you understand the “who” and the “why”, the “what” is obvious.
More specifically, once you start understanding yourself more at a deeper level, knowing your “weaknesses” and your strengths, then you can harness those in your favour.
If you know that you need to be more disciplined, then it becomes natural to know that you need to work on that. If you know that you are ambitious and creative, then you can harness those assets and include them in your inspired goals to find the perfect blend that will make you the happiest and the most fulfilled.
Because at the end of the day, it’s about creating a life of love and purpose so that you can find meaning in every moment and every breath that you take.
