Girl…I get it. I GET IT. It can be so frustrating to see people around you that seem to have their shit together, to have life figured out and to have things handed to them.
It’s frustrating, confusing and just downright annoying AF. And for the longest time, I felt the same.
I spent hours setting S.M.A.R.T. goals, working hard on working on them, trying to stay patient and consistent.
I was barely able to put a dent in my goals and yet, I felt like I was busting my ass. I felt like my wheels were spinning in mud and NOTHING was happening.
Until I had the realization that I wasn’t setting goals the right way.
The moment that I realized that my goals weren’t aligned with who I truly am and what I truly want in life…it’s then that I understood that I had been setting goals the wrong way.
Now, not to say that goal-setting is bad.
Not at all. In fact, goal-setting is one of the most importance things you can be doing for yourself to make sure that you’re living the life that you want to live and to be the person that you want to be.

The Importance of Goal-Setting
Setting goals gives you clarity of vision for the life you want to create and the person you want to become.
Goals give you direction and purpose – if you know what you want from your life, then it will be easier to focus on it, to stay consistent with it, and to work at it every single day.
If you want to live life fully, to feel happier, to feel fulfilled, and to create your dream life… there’s no way around it. You MUST set goals.
Because if you don’t take the time to figure out what you want, how can you know what you need to be doing to get it?!
The Goal-Setting Tip That Change my Life

The BEST goal-setting tip that I can give it to you (and I know this because it truly changed my life) is that you have to set INSPIRED goals.
You have to ask yourself better questions to set your goals.
You shouldn’t ask yourself “What do I want?” But should rather focus on questions like:
- How do I want to feel on a day-to-day basis?
- Who do I want to be?
- What impact do I want to have on the people around me?
And yes, this is something that I came up with myself because every time I set goals by asking myself “What do I want?”, it ended up being focused on material things.
Don’t get me wrong, if you want a designer purse or shoes, or you want a bigger house, there’s NOTHING wrong with that.
Heck, I’m daydreaming about my next designer piece that I want to add to my wardrobe.
But the point is that if you understand what your heart truly desires, what makes you happy at a deep…DEEP level…. Then this will be the foundation for a winning formula that will lead you to creating and living your dream life, a life that you LOVE and are excited to live.
